Description
This is a beautiful, solid, 1980 MGB with factory overdrive and only 67, 413 original miles that is ready to drive and enjoy.
BODY / FLOORS / UNDERCARRIAGE: The body, floors and undercarriage are extremely solid and original. This was a rust-free original car that was restored by the previous owner approximately ten years ago, and it has been lovingly cared-for since. The paint has only a few minor chips and flaws and still presents very well. The body appears to never have had any significant damage or repair work.
MECHANICAL: The engine, clutch, brakes and gearbox are all in excellent working order. The battery is new and the tires are like-new. To the best of my knowledge, the engine and gearbox are original to this car. The upgraded Webber carburetor and performance intake dramatically improves the performance of the engine. It has factory overdrive that works flawlessly and lets you cruise comfortably at 70+ MPH. This is the best running and driving MGB I’ve ever been in.
INTERIOR / TOP: The interior is in very good condition as shown in the pictures. The top is good with only minor wear, and a tonneau cover is also included.
ELECTRICAL: All of the lights, gauges and electrical systems are working well. The previous owner did a great job restoring and maintaining this car.
TITLE TRANSFER AND PAPERWORK: I am a long-time classic car hobbyist and licensed as a Florida car dealer (Classic Investment Motorcars Inc.) This means that you must complete various sales and title transfer forms with me, which can be done in person or through the mail.
DOCUMENTATION FEE: A flat fee of $100 is charged on all vehicle purchases to cover postage, preparing paperwork and forms, and other dealer costs. This fee cannot be waived. This fee applies regardless of whether you are an individual or a dealer.
SALES TAX: If you live in Florida or are picking up the car in Florida I am required to collect the applicable sales tax and tag/title fees. If the vehicle is shipped out of Florida by common carrier I do not collect the sales tax (you will take care of that where you live.)
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT: A $200 non-refundable PayPal deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance must be paid by cash, cashier’s check, or wire transfer within seven days of the end of the auction. All cashier’s checks must clear my bank before the vehicle can be released. If the winning bidder fails to pay in accordance with these requirements, I may, at my option, make second-chance offers or re-list/remarket the vehicle and the deposit will be forfeited by the bidder.
SHIPPING: Arranging and paying for shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. We will always do our best to cooperate with your shipping company, be it domestic or international. We may also be able to help you arrange shipping, but the responsibility will remain with you.
THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS-IS, WHERE-IS, WITH NO WARRANTY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. If you are unsure about bidding please come inspect the car in person or have it inspected by a reputable third-party inspection service. If you are the winning bidder you will have entered into a binding contract to complete the purchase in accordance with eBay rules.
