Up for auction is my 1976 MGB with New top - Newer tires and the rare and highly sought after overdrive transmission. The wire wheels look great and sets this car apart from most you see out there. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Mechanically: The car runs great. The car was recently serviced - oil change, new oil filter, new air filters.The car sounds great with a recent muffler and tail pipe replaced. The car starts right up. The brakes and clutch peddles are firm. The front brake pads and calipers where replaced about a year or so ago.The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no know issues. The only thing I would do if keeping the car is possibly replace the front shocks. Overdrive: Yes the car has the rare factory overdrive transmission and works as it should in both 3rd and 4th gears. Electrically : There are no signs of the dreaded Lucas electrical Gremlin on this car. The following items are in proper working order: headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, dash warning lights work. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original Smith brand. Interior: Is of driver quality as shown in the photos. The carpet is weak but don't fret as the car comes with a complete high grade carpet kit with easy to follow installation instructions. Exterior: The car looks great but still driver quality and should not be considered a show car. The car sits nicely on the ground with no leaning, sagging or any signs of the dreaded MGB Leaning issues. As seen all body panels, hood, trunk, wheel arches, dog legs and doors are straight. The high dollar wire wheels looks awesome!
Underbody: The frame and inner sills / rocker panels looks very good but at some point the floors where replaced ( common on these cars and just about any car that's 39 years old ). Note: I don't have any photos of the underbody at this time but I'll see about getting some and posting then to the auction or email me your phone number and I'll text you the photos. Soft Top: Is brand new and was professionally fitted and installed last month. Trunk: The is solid. The car has a spare tire and wire wheel.
