auction is for a desirable 1965 MGB roadster. This classic barn find B has an exterior red color with black soft and hard tops and interior. These reliable cars are a blast to drive and they are still very capable of keeping up with traffic !
This mostly stock example has been just recently brought out of the barn after being off the road for several years. The owner got it running with a brand new battery and some fresh fuel and we were actually able to take it out and put a few miles on it. Most everything works, but it needs to be sorted out to get it totally street worthy again. The stock steering wheel was replaced with an aftermarket example.
The car is presently stored safely inside a building. The right side rocker is obviously in need of attention, but in the majority the rest of the car is pretty solid. The bright work is all in fairly good condition. We didn't want to bog you down with pages of MGB history and information, considering that most of the enthusiasts looking at this listing will know much more about this car than we do.
This car is currently registered and can be driven, but only for short distances before it is completely gone over. It runs smoothly hitting on all four cylinders, shifts properly and comes to a halt when brake pedal pressure is applied. This MG fires right up and there is no smoke, noises, leaks or other gremlins as it warms up nicely and settles right into a comfortable idle as you push the choke back in. A new 12 volt battery was installed to replace the dual 6 volt examples. This car is 50 years old and does need some TLC, so please forgive us if we overlooked some of the other minor flaws.
As with all of our eBay Motors listings we try to let our high resolution photographs tell the story about the vehicles that we are selling. All of the pictures you see were just taken by us and we have shots from many angles including the exterior with top up and down, engine bay, full interior, undercarriage and separate sunroof hardtop. If you study our images very carefully, you will see exactly what this little red MGB is all about.
The clear multiple high resolution images of this car, shown below, will do a much better job of describing the look, style, condition and market value of this MGB than our words ever could. We invite questions and comments and there is NO RESERVE on this auction!
