MG MGB (1970)
for sale
Price: US $7,000.00
Price: US $7,000.00
Up for auction is my 1970 MGB with the one year only split rear bumper and the highly sought after factory overdrive transmission option. I have a file on the car going back to 1993 showing how well the car has been looked after. The car is located at my house in Charlotte North Carolina 28209 and is available to be seen and driven anytime during the auction. Mechanically: The car runs great. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke and holds very good oil pressure. The car was recently serviced which included a tune up, carburetors tuned and balanced, oil change, new air filters installed, transmission & rear end fluids serviced, radiator flushed, new coolant added and a new radiator cap installed. The car shifts up / down through all gears with no bidding or grinding of the gears. At this time I know of nothing the car needs other that to be driven and enjoyed. Overdrive Transmission: Yes this car does have the rare factory overdrive transmission option and it works great in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. Electrical's: This area is in excellent condition with the following items in working order. Headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, front and rear side marker lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, horn works, radio works, hazard switch works, cigarette lighter works and the blower fan works. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original Smith brand and are in proper working order. Interior: Nice presentable driver quality as shown in the photos. Exterior: This is a nice driver quality exterior with very nice wire wheels that are wrapped in like new radial tires. The car sits nicely on the ground with no signs of leaning or sagging. As seen all body panels, hood, trunk, wheel arches, dog legs and doors are straight. Soft Top: Is in like new condition. Covers: The car comes with a top cover, Tonneau cover ( cover the cockpit when the top is down ) and a car cover. Trunk: The trunk is solid and has a spare wire wheel with a new tire on it and has a jack and lug wrench.
Reserve Price: There is no reserve on this auction with an opening bid of $7000. So she is going to sell this week to the highest bidder. Yes I'm open to offers but they need to be above the current bid price of the car. Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes ( here / ).
I don't claim to be an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photos let me know prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed or implied. Due to the cars age she is being sold as mileage exempt. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end time
