1980 MG MGB

MG MGB (1980)
for sale

Price: US $200.00

Description:

You are bidding on a limited edition 1980 MGB. It was originally bought from a restoration shop, as the original owner was unable to pay for the repairs. It has at least had $10k spent on its restoration. The engine has been rebuilt and re-bored to 20k oversize and has had a new clutch and pressure plate installed as well as a weber conversion. The following items are new: front break disks and calipers, fuel tank, hydraulic hoses, front wheal bearings, rear break shoes and slave cyllinders, both clutch and brake master cylinders. It has also had its front suspension rebuilt with new parts, a new ignition lock, and a new a clock. The interior as well as the convertible top is also new. All four tires are new and have less than 100 miles on them. The synchro-mesh gear box shifts smoothly and the car is fun to drive.
To complete the restoration the following will need to be done: 1) Replacing the windshield wiper rubbers. 2) Attaching the horn, which comes with the car. 3) Replacing the windshield washer apparatus. 4) Neatening up some of the panel/carpeting in the interior. 5) Replacing the pinion seal in the steering. 6) Patching a small tear on the convertible hood top (see picture). 7) Replacing the rubbers on the brake and clutch pedal.
The tachometer needle sometimes sticks until the car reaches 10mph, but then is fine. Also, the radio is not connected.
Please examine the photographs closely, and I would welcome a pre-purchase inspection. It is a no reserve item and will go to the highest bidder irrespective of the price.
