auction for a brilliant 1974 MGB GT. An iconic body style, these smart looking classic coupes are reliable, comfortable and really fun to drive. This great looking blue car has been super well cared for and maintained, and everything on this vehicle works just as you would expect. It has recently passed New York States' rigorous vehicle inspection, for safety, with flying colors. It sure looks amazing at over 40 years old
and the fit and finish are flawless. All original body panels and no rust anywhere.
This gleaming example is sporting the correct exterior color that the car was delivered with and if you have been in the market for one that you don't have to fuss with, please give this one strong consideration.
Living in a
protected
storage facility, this particular coupe is very intact and free from rust and other defects that are frequently found on these models, that have not been as well cared for. The paint finish is flawless (not even a scratch or flea bite!) and the bright work is very intact as well. The engine compression is good and there are no leaks, smoke, noises or other mechanical gremlins. The margins are all nice, the doors, trunk and hood all open and close correctly, and the windows all work. When we drove the car, to shoot the pictures, it started right up, ran great, shifted as designed and steered and stopped with little to no effort. It was super easy to operate and inspiring to drive!
Since this car is obviously very well put together, we didn't want to bog our bidders down with pages of MGB history and performance information. We consider that most of the interested automotive enthusiasts, who may be looking at this listing will know more about these particular cars than we do. If you do need additional generic information, it is abundant through the use of simple internet searches. There is a spare wheel and tire for the car that sits in it's proper position along with jack tools all nested in the squeaky clean trunk area under the rear cover. There were no noticed imperfections on this car and we are pretty nit-picky, to say the least. There are headrests with new covers (shown, not installed), an original owner's manual and other service books.
Regular service attention to this vehicle means that you can count on the predictable reliability and performance that this car will provide for the new owner. As you can easily see, the interior is redone and is spectacular, and the pictures speak for themselves. The wheels, beauty rings and center caps are all perfect with no curb rash and the radial tires are all new. This car is a currently registered and driven vehicle and we have a clean transferable title in hand. The car runs and drives superbly and everything works. This car hasn't seen rain in over 20 years! Our showcased car is over 40 years old, so please forgive us if we've overlooked something minor.
