73 MGB GT
COMPLETELY RUSTFREE UNDERCARRIAGE FORMER CALIFORNIA MGB GT !! VIN# GHD5UD297143G
Listed for sale is a 1973 MGB GT chrome bumper car with its original 4 Cylinder engine and 4 speed non-overdrive transmission THAT IS IN WONDERFUL CONDITION.
This car has newer pale primrose yellow paint, black cloth seats recovered in original material, .30 over pistons in a rebuilt engine (by former airplane mechanic owner),
rebuilt clutch and most suspension. This car is ready to be driven anywhere! Always garage kept!
Here is a nice, fun, reliable, turnkey sports car. The previous owners, a father and son team, had the car for about 15 years. The car was formerly owned in CALIFORNIA.
The motor was completely rebuilt by the father who was an airline mechanic for US Airways; they replaced the front and rear suspension and springs; upgraded the
carbs to 1 ¾ inch SU’s; new oil cooler, spin off oil filter, painted the engine compartment black and repainted the car, installed an all new exhaust, clutch slave cylinder
and new floor mats, starter, battery, and shifter boots. This car runs and drives very nicely and is just as clean underneath as is the beautiful pale yellow paint (which has
only one 2 inch scratch on the passenger side fender which had paint applied to, and a few small knicks). I just clay barred the car and buffed the paint- it looks very
nice! This car runs, brakes and shifts very nicely. Although the speedometer/odometer reads just over 27800 miles, the car is titled as EXEMPT mileage. The original
color of this car was a mustard yellow or gold.
The paint job is about 10 years old and there are only two spots with small very minor surface rust. Original door panels, seats recovered in the original cloth material,
older carpet could be upgraded but presentable as is. All lights, horns, switches and gauges work as they should. The radio does work, and the speakers are mounted
behind the seats. The car has no rear seat but just has a piece of carpet there. This car just needs a little attention to the rear seat interior pieces to be a show car. The
five tires are Cooper Cobra radials with about 75% tread. The wheels are the original Rostyle wheels and they have been repainted and look great. The car still has the
original jack in the factory original bag. I have taken a lot of pictures and include the ones that best show this car and the great condition it is in. It runs very nicely and
is a pleasure to drive. I have personally driven the car from PA to FL at 65 MPH with no shimmy or steering wheel shake and no brake vibrations at all. This MGB GT will
make an inexpensive fun car for the lucky buyer.
This car is VERY CLEAN AND COMPLETELY RUSTFREE UNDERNEATH. You will not find a better chrome bumper MGB GT anywhere. This car was titled as an antique
car in Florida with exempt mileage. These cars are getting hard to find especially in this condition!
If you fly into Orlando, I can pick you up at the Orlando International Airport. All shipping arrangements and expenses will be paid by the buyer. The car will not be
shipped until all funds clear my bank. This car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction at any time.
