Check out this very rare, original and low mileage, Limited Edition, MGB. 24, 686 original miles. Of the various MGB variants created over its long production run, this final series is certainly one of the most desirable. This MG was originally stored for the first 10 years of its life by a dealer in hopes of appreciation. It then went to Minnesota where it was occasionally driven for roughly 20 years. Then it made it's way to Idaho where it has been garaged and lovingly cared for. This one is finished in black on black with all the correct trimmings. Est. 62 bhp, 1, 798 cc inline overhead valve four-cylinder engine, four-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension and rigid rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, front disc and rear drum brakes. Wheelbase: 91.1
The final MGBs to be produced for 1980 were named “Limited Edition, ” of which the first examples. All of these final MGBs were finished in black with gunmetal-grey side stripes along the body and a front spoiler below the polyurethane nose. Additionally, these cars came with five-spoke alloy wheels, (which will be included in the sale), a luggage rack and a leather-wrapped and padded three-spoke steering wheel with a special center hub. This car is fitted with Panasport style wheels for added style. A “Limited Edition” dash plaque was installed on the glovebox as well.
The car presented here is one such 1980 MGB Limited Edition, which remains in original condition. The car comes with all the correct Limited Edition features, including the original steering wheel and luggage rack. It is described as being in excellent overall condition, and the odometer currently shows 24, 686 miles. The interior is complete, down to the dash plaque, and sports black bucket seats.
