This is a wonderful 1968 European model MGB finished in white with a red interior. The car has had an extensive restoration including a professionally rebuilt engine done less than 1000 miles ago. I have all receipts for all of the work done and for service work done over the last 13 years. The car is equipped with five wire wheels, a car cover, cockpit cover, original AM radio, Amco floor mats, wood rim steering wheel, luggage rack, rear mud flaps, and both a Haynes and a Chilton's shop manuals. The engine has had two upgrades, a spin on oil filter conversion, and an electronic ignition system. The original parts are included with the car. The 1968 European model has many advantages over the 1968 and later USA version. The first and most important is the four speed fully synchromesh transmission. The things it does not have are the things you do not want. For example, it does not have the ugly side marker lights, the even more grotesque padded dashboard, the high back seats, or any emission controls to hamper it's performance. Up until now, if you wanted the fully synchro trans, you were forced to buy a 1968 or later car with all of the above abominations. This car solves that problem. It runs and drives great, shifts smooth and has plenty of power. Everything woks including the original radio and even the windshield washers are functional. All gauges, heater, lights, etc are in working order. Just get in it and go. I have in hand a clear Maine title. I am located 70 miles north of Boston, and 40 miles south of Portland, ME. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of the end of the auction. The balance is due within 7 days of the close of the auction. I will accept the deposit by PayPal. Sorry, but to the proliferation of forged bank checks, I accept final payment only by wither cash or bank transfer. I can store the car inside for up to 2 weeks after the close of the auction as long as the above payment schedule is met. Due to the nature and age of the car it is being sold as is, as shown. You are welcome to come inspect and drive the car before the end of the auction.
