MG MGB (1969)
for sale
Price: US $15,000.00
Price: US $15,000.00
Two owners, both female, have owned the car.
Helen Earner purchased the car in 1969 from Hollywood Motors. She drove it a few times a year and bequeathed it to her mechanic when she died. In 2000, a friend, who had retored several Mini Coopers and a Lotus, purchased the car from her mechanic on my behalf and spent a year restoring it. The restoration was from the ground-up. I have over 500 photos of the restoration with lots of before/after photos.
Since I received the car in 2001, it has been garaged and was serviced by International Motor Car Repair in Hopewell Junction, NY.
Aside from new tires, soft top (has a repaired rip), leather seating, carpet and gas tank, everything is original, even the wiring! Overdrive works great too!
This car is amazing. Very reliable. Nothing needs to be done. Drive home ready!
Hagerty estimates this car would be $18, 000 and would rate it as a #2 Excellent
These vehicles could win a show. They can be former #1 vehicles that have been driven or have aged. Seasoned observers will have to look closely for flaws, but will be able to find some not seen by the general public. The paint, chrome, glass and finishes will all appear as excellent. No excessive smoke will be seen on startup, no unusual noises will emanate from the engine. The vehicle will drive as a new vehicle of its era would.
