MG MGB (1971)
for sale
Price: US $12,000.00
Price: US $12,000.00
This
car was built as a clone/tribute car to the factory MG works cars that raced at
Sebring. It is NOT a legal race car nor is it a highly restored car. It
is intended to look like a car that was raced, parked for a lot of years, cleaned up/rebuilt engine etc. to make a driver. This is a fun local car
show type of vehicle/driver. I want the buyer to be happy with this car
and will answer any and all questions as accurately possible. Period
correct/imitated on the car include items such as leather hood strap Sebring
style mesh grill as per the factory car. Fiberglass Sebring kit includes complete front fenders, rear
fender overlays, front and rear valences. Rocker panels are covered with aluminum. Has lighted roundels (number dots), driving lights, Sebring style plastic headlight covers.I have a clear Utah title in my
name (and possession) and it is street legal (lights, turn signals, muffler, etc.) It has been registered, licensed and driven on the street for several years. It was driven to Las Vegas from Salt Lake and return to attend SEMA a
couple of years ago. It was used in a photo shoot for a European clothing catalog (Bonaparte) which are the photos of the models in front of my car. I lost interest and haven't driven regularly for about 2
years. Engine rebuilt – crank turned, engine bored, new bearings pistons and rings. Head rebuilt, hotter cam and headers. Twin SU carbs rebuilt. Has an 8
gallon fuel cell. Custom built seats. This
is/was the best running and driving car in my collection. A fake roll bar was
installed for a car show and it looked so good I just left it in. Has 3 inch lap belts. A professional video of me and my collection
(and the GT) can be seen by googling “
Gisseman
British Mania
”
VERY IMPORTANT: This
is an MGB NOT an MGC. It is not a legal
race car and is definitely not a highly restored car. Please ask any and
all questions before bidding and request any photos of specific areas of the
car. I will be adding more photos. I will answer all questions and try to
provide the photo(s) you need/request. I have had a lot of fun with this
one but it needs a new owner. Thanks for checking out my car.

“This is the last car in my collection for sale. The car was built as a clone/tribute car to the factory MG cars that raced at Sebring. It is NOT a legal race car nor is it a highly restored car. It is intended to look like a car that was raced, parked for a lot of years, cleaned up/rebuilt engine etc to make a driver. It was built as a local causal coffee and cars and British Field Days. The chassis was in fair shape when the conversation began but had rusted out rocker panels and some on the interior fender wells. The fiberglass Sebring kit includes complete front fenders, overlays on the rear fenders, and front and rear valences.” |
