Up for bid is a beautifully restored 1970 MG Midget. During restoration everything was removed from the vehicle. Every bushing replaced nearly every bolt. Less than 1, 000 miles have been put back on the vehicle since being restored. Engine has around 71, 000 original miles. New clutch and throw out bearing in the transmission. Floor pans and quarter panels were removed and replaced due to rust, absolutely no rust on the vehicle now. Complete rubber undercoating from front to back. All new chrome bumpers and two eared knock offs. Freshly powered coated, original, wire wheels. New tires. New brake and clutch master cylinders, all new copper brake lines. New rear drum hubs and pads, new discs and pads on front. Brand new wiring harness throughout the vehicle. Electronic ignition in engine bay. Electric fan keeps engine cool, absolutely no overheating problems that a lot of MG's have. New weber downdraft carb with chrome filter. I have the original HS2 carbs with chrome filters that will come with the vehicle as well. Brand new interior panels and carpeting throughout the car. New Corbeau A4 seats with 4-point harnesses for safety. Custom made wood dash out of very hard Ipe (epay) wood. New stereo system. Paint job is sonic blue pearl with mercedez silver stripes. New convertible top in excellent shape, very thick canvas material, not cheap. The paint job has some light scratches in common wear areas and a couple of cracks near bottom corners. You have to look for them to know they exist. Windshield wipers new however the motor has recently quit working and will need replacing or repair, not expensive or difficult to acquire. It was the original one. Like all MG's, Lucas electronics can be very unreliable, however this vehicle has had nearly all electrical components replaced to reduce the chances of electrical gremlins. It is not perfect, but definitely better than most. I have yet to find another Midget with the same road presence, this car is definitely a head turner.
