British Motor Car Enthusiasts - Feast your eyes on this 1969 MG Midget MKIII.
With No Reserve when the auction ends next Thursday night the car is gone!!
Stored inside a Climate Controlled Environment for the last 15 years the owner has been working on this car for the last two decades, slowly working on bringing it back to its stock factory specs.
With its original engine and manual 4 speed transmission, this car is so low to the ground that it handles like a race car. It is really a great, very fast fun car to drive.
Starts right up every time and it sounds unbelievable. The engine is clean enough to eat from, after being on blocks for 10 months when I got it ready to drive and moved it there was a dime size oil spot on the floor.
The hood has two dings which I took detailed pictures of. When closing the hood, when it gets close to locking in place it has some play in the hood and will move from side to side and can ding the paint on the front. I tried to take detailed pictures to show you what happened. Some more great features include:
New Rag TopNew InteriorNew Paint New Tires There is countless stuff to list on about this car.
Comes with the original MG t-shirt owner received when he bought the car in 1969. Please see the photo with my friend Bunny wearing the Red MG T-Shirt. (Bunny Not Included)
The Spoke wheels are held on by a one large center nut. The owner machined an aircraft aluminum tool to crank the wheel's center nut off and on Please see photo.
When you put it on the lift to look under the car this car is in solid rust free shape. There is some minor surface rust but it is as solid as it gets.
Being an British built car I feel, you have to be at minimum a tinkerer to: own, maintain and appreciate the engineering of this car.
When you sit in it, start it up and drive it, you fall in love with it all over again.
I truly want this car to go to someone who will appreciate it, love it, and care for it as we have.
Feel free to call or write with any questions or comments. If you live near Schaumburg IL and you want to come take a look I'm happy to work out a time. You can test drive it if you know how to drive manual transmission.
Thanks for looking!

“No Reserve! This is a 99% rust free 1969 MG Midget MKIII. Stored inside a Climate Controlled Environment for the last 15 years it is in great shape. With the original engine still in her, she starts right up every time and it sounds unbelievable. The engine is clean enough to eat from, after being on blocks for 10 months when I got it ready to drive and moved it there was a dime size oil spot on the floor. The hood has two dings which I took detailed pictures of. When you close the hood you have to ensure you close it very carefully as it moves a 1/4 inch on each side and will chip the paint which it did. Brand new black rag top, new interior, new paint and new tires. When you put it on the lift to look under the car there is a spot of minor surface rust. Being an British built car I feel you have to at minimum a "tinkerer" to own, maintain and drive this car.” |
