MGT GT Limited Edition Special
This is the rare Special with overdrive, one of only 1, 000 cars sold to celebrate the anniversary of the MGB GT. There has been a lot a discussion about Special MGB GT's. This one still retains the unique fender badge, the Moto-Lita steering wheel, the wood shift knob, and the bullet-style racing mirror, still with bright chrome - all features of the Special.
The car was bought from the original owner's nephew. Vehicle was first sold in California per the original owners ID plate (included) and resided most of its life in the Bay Area. The nephew took the car to Bellingham, WA for the last couple of years before it was brought to San Diego.
There is an original California black license plate which matches the original key chain (included).
The vehicle is original with no rust. Original rubber mats are in excellent condition. Original seats have been replaced with later MGB seats, but originals are included and require new leather.
A later stereo has been installed, but the dash was not cut. The original BMC AM radio is included as well.
The car came with overdrive which operates, but produces a slight whine. There are no other known mechanical issues.
The original color was Guards Red, and it has been repainted blue.
