The MG M type was the classic marque of MG's very first every man's sports car! One of the very first cars built at the then state of the art factory in Abingdon, England legendary home of MG until the very end in 1980!
The little M type burst on the sports car scene with it's overhead cam engine, quick steering, light weight, aerodynamic boat-tail and good looks.
It was a winner of speed and trials events from the first, and saved MG to become the sports car America loved first with its grandchild the MG TC!
The M type was the very first MG ever brought to America!
Most of the M types were and are of fabric, but this car is the very rare aluminum and steel bodied car in British Racing Green.
It appears about nine metal cars are extant.
Full weather equipment, jack, spare bulb holder, etc. on car!
Still sporting its crash gearbox with special racing gear selector, this boat-tailed MG has shown at Amelia Island, Keenesland, and Ault Park Cincinatti, and Hot Springs Best of British, winner of Best of Show and the Dayton Wire Wheel Best British Car Award! Winner of best of show at numerous local and state shows as well.
Some spares accompany the M.
Don't miss this wonderful classic and have to ship an inferior and less rare one from England!
Foreign buyers must provide cash upon delivery.
If you wish to inspect the car, please email for appointment. Otherwise, look carefully at the photos and write with questions.
I recommend a closed professional carrier for shipping or buyer pickup with enclosed trailer.
