Description:

You're looking at a 1969 MGC Roadster that I had purchased as a project. I have moved and no longer have space to do the work I had planned to do. Showing 57k miles, I have no idea if that is correct. Here's what I know about the car:
Exterior:Paint is a 20 footer at best, you can see in the photos that there are numerous chips, scratches and cracks. No dents, the bonnet is original aluminum and is dent-free and not repaired.Overall, no dents or indications of repairs.Top is in good shape, the perspex can be cleaned up.Includes both full and half tonneau covers, both in good condition with no rips or cracks.Chrome has small pitting, would respond to polish, I'd give it 7 of 10.Glass is clean and clear.Chrome wires are 5/10Tires are Dunlop, good tread, but cannot vouch for the age.
Interior:Dash in good conditionSeats are poor due to dried out leather. Cushions are serviceable.Sill rubber perished, original (or original appearing) mats in good shape.Carpet, 6/10
Electrics:All lights, wipers, signals, horn, etc. work perfectly.Radio is not working, not sure if it has power or if the speaker is connected or simply perished.
Mechanical:Brakes:Brakes need a total overhaul and are not working other than the parking brake.New front calipers and rotors are included with sale.
Engine:The engine starts easily and runs well - without brakes I have only been able to run in a large, empty parking lot. Seems to have good power.Oil pressure at 25lb warm idle, about 50b at 3, 000 rpm. The engine is quiet and smooth, I have some doubts about the accuracy of the gauge as a result, but that's what it says.
Transmission:Quiet and shifts well, I have not had the ability to get in on the road to test the O/D, but I believe it is working fine.Clutch smooth and operating normally.
Steering:Steering is tight and smooth.
Rust:The only rust I have seen on the car is the passenger floor shown in a photo.
Overall, the car appears to be largely as original. It hasn't been cut or modified. With brakes and seat covers it would make an ok driver, something you'd have fun with. To be a show car, it will require restoration. I think that MGC have been largely overlooked in the market and I think that is changing, not many made compared with the B's. Values of restored cars are significantly higher than what I expect this car to go for. I hate to part with it, but life has changed and this car will need to go to a new caretaker.
Please ask any questions and I will answer to the best of my ability. I pretty much know what I have told you here, but will do my best to find out what you need to know.
Title is clear and in my name.
Thank you.
