Museum Quality 1954 MG TF RoadsterNew to our Benicia showroom is this museum quality 1954 MG TF 2 Door Roadster with red exterior paint and a tan interior. It is almost completely original and restored back to factory specs with the original 1250cc, 4-cylinder engine, the matching 4-speed manual transmission, and virtually all of the factory accessories as well. In fact, this little MG looks, drives and feels like a brand new classic, thanks to one of the most in-depth restorations that we've ever had the pleasure to witness. In terms of actual condition, we feel confident in saying that this 1954 MG TF Roadster is easily one of the most pristine examples in the world today. Since it has been driven a mere 110 miles since the completion of the restoration, this is a true #1 classic that could take first place at any car show. So make no mistake; this is an actual museum-quality sports car that's being offered at a mere fraction of the total restoration price.Scored 97 Out of 100 at Hillsborough Concourse D'EleganceThis 1954 MG TF Roadster appears to be a three-owner vehicle that was originally purchased in Los Angeles. By the time the 2nd owner took possession of it in 1962, it was a driver-quality example that was great for short trips around town. The 2nd owner told us a great story about following a friend in a VW van across the Nevada desert in the late 60's. The van broke down, and the two actually towed it all the way to Indio with this little MG. It remained as a treasured classic with this family until the mid-1990's and they drove it almost every day. The current owner of this 1954 MG TF Roadster purchased it in April of 1995 and immediately started a true nut and bolt restoration in 1996. In fact, he used over 95% of the original parts during the multi-year process and refused to cut a single corner; always opting for perfection despite the costs involved. That hard work and dedication certainly paid off since this 54 MG scored a 97 out of a possible 100 at the Hillsborough Concourse D'Elegance in 2014, with only a few slight issues keeping it from achieving pure perfection.Driven a Mere 110 Miles since Complete RestorationOverall, this 1954 MG TF Roadster is one of the finest examples in the world today and it is available at a steal of a price. If you are a collector that insists on only the best of the best, then you'll understand the tremendous opportunity that this sexy little sports car represents. On a good day at auction, this could easily be a six-figure showpiece that creates a bidding frenzy.
