The MG TF was the last, and generally considered the most beautiful of the T-series cars produced by MG. Many consider it one of the most beautiful classic sports cars of all time. With a total production of only 9, 602, it's also one of the rarest, compared to the earlier TD production of close to 30, 000. It's hard to say how many of those original 9, 602 cars have survived, but when was the last time you saw one on the road? This car gets a lot of attention when I take it out for a drive.
This TF has been repainted the original red color it came from the factory with. I'd describe it as a typical ten-foot paint job. Nice and shiny, with minor flaws only visible up close. The upholstery is all near-new, as shown in the pictures. The top is new, and the side curtains are near new, in excellent shape, with no yellowing of the windows. A tonneau cover is included, also in great shape.
The carburetors and fuel pump are new, and the front suspension was recently rebuilt. The spare tire is on a new chrome wire wheel, the other four are painted, as they were originally from the factory. The tires are in excellent shape, the transmission shifts and sounds perfect. The engine starts up easily, and also runs great.
I have a clear title in hand from the California DMV, and registration is paid up until January of 2017.
Reasonable offers will be considered. A nonrefundable deposit of $500 is required immediately upon agreement to purchase, the balance is due within 7 days. I will allow a reasonable amount of extra time if a lender is involved, but please have your finances in order ahead of time. Inspection is welcome, and encouraged. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will assist in getting the car to the shipper of your choice, in Orange County, California.
