Collectors, Please Pay Special Attention to this one!
This 1953 MG TD 2 Door Roadster was manufactured by Morris Motors, LTD at the Radiators Branch Osberton Works, in Oxford England. It is car number 20, 571, which was exported to North America with a left handed steering wheel and has engine number XPAG/TD2/20958. The exterior is British Racing Green. It has a beige leather interior with wood panels and a tan tonneau cover.
In the Spring of 2003 it underwent a meticulous, almost $30, 000, cosmetic and mechanical restoration by Gregory Serdiuk of Columbia Restorations in LaGrange, Illinois. He replaced all of the chrome and it shines. After that restoration it was entered into three different car shows where it won 1st place at all of them, including the Best Post WWII Sports Car at the Cuneo Classic Car Show. The car war appropriately nicknamed The Gem of the Highway.
After the award winning restoration it was purchased by a private collector and stored as part of his private collection in a climate controlled facility where it was sparingly driven and enjoyed as a work of art.
