This is a 1949, build date October 1948, MG TC. This car is an un-restored, survivor car. the wooden framework is in unusually good condition, and there is no corrosion in any of the metalwork. The previous owner had the car for 62 years, and maintained, and drove the car regularly. He also kept a log book of all the work carried out on the car during his ownership. He fitted a Shorrock super charger in the late 50s to improve performance, and it works really well. At some point the original engine dropped a valve, so he re-built a TD engine, and fitted it to the car. I do still have the original, matching number engine, which is dis-assembled, and has a re-ground crankshaft, and new bearings. shortly before he passed away, the previous owner fitted a new VW steering box, and re-built the braking system. Since I have owned the car I have fitted a new canvas convertible top, a new Brooklands steering wheel, a new SU fuel pump, new alloy front brake drums, a new luggage rack, and most recently, 4 new Blockley tires, and tubes. This is a great driving car, nice and tight, with no body rattles, and lots of torque with the supercharger. I have taken this car on many long distance drives, with the local TC club, and it has given my wife and me a great deal of pleasure, but sadly, due to personal reasons, I now have to sell my dream car.
