The Mini Cooper S with John Cooper Works GP Kit (GP1) was built as a “Body in White” car at the Mini Plant in Oxford before being shipped to Bertone in Italy for assembly, hand finishing and painting. It was limited to a production run of 2000 cars during the 2006 model year, with only 451 of those intended for the US market. The Cooper S engine was tuned to produce 218 BHP and 245Nm of Torque, which propel the GP from 0-62mph in under 6.0secs. The GP features a larger Intercooler over the Cooper S, and a Limited Slip Differential as standard. The “Thunder Blue” paint was exclusive to the GP and the Pure Silver roof and Chilli Red mirror caps make it instantly recognisable. The remodelled front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, under-body panelling and carbon fibre boot spoiler all help improve aerodynamics, and the exclusive lightweight 18” alloy wheels and JCW brakes ensure it handles and stops as well as it looks. The standard steel R53 rear-axle trailing arms were also removed and replaced with lighter stiffer aluminium units. The rear screen’s rear wiper was also deleted to save more weight. Inside in place of the rear seats; a flat loading platform and an aluminium strut brace is fitted. The 3-spoke leather sports multifunction steering wheel looks after the radio and cruise control. Each car is individually numbered 0-2000 with the number proudly displayed on the roof and dashboard.

Plug in D1 Throttle controller (5 minute uninstall) WMW Stratmosphere Cat Back exhaust system. Perfect condition stock JCW system included with sale (Either salable here on EBay for $500+)Kenwood (Subtle) head unit with XM and Bluetooth. Phone pair works perfectly and is clear. Perfect condition stock Mini system also included. For anyone wanting to return the car to 100% stock an intermediate harness was used with the stereo - as such no factory wires were cut and the stock head unit can be plugged straight back in. Depending on what you want to use the car for the factory FM receiver and two front speakers are (really) appalling - especially when mated with the reduced sound deadening in these lighter cars. As I occasionally use this to commute I added the $1100 (hardware only) 2 month old 'sound upgrades' - high quality (OE mount) speakers in the front door, a high quality, subtle head unit that matches the MINI orange illumination with Bluetooth phone and installed microphone (very clear for work calls), a steering wheel control interface kit (full functionality of buttons) and an XM receiver kit.Incredible, fast, fun and collector grade carWelcome any third party inspection by certified dealer (Mini of Little Rock is nearby)Clear AR title in hand, owners manuals and two Mini keys.Clean Carfax - picture included (Fire extinguisher shown in car not included)I noticed that I did not fully latch the hood after the engine shot and as such the panel fit looks odd up front. I have added a new picture to show the gap when the hood is latched. I also noticed the black marks on the wheels so showed an additional picture after removal with cleaner.
