I have owned this car for 25 years, having first bought it brand new in July 1991 from a Mitsubishi dealer here in Columbus Ohio Through all of that time, the car has been garaged and running. Most of the miles were put on the odometer as a result of daily highway commuting (30 miles/day) until about 2002 but as our young family grew it was used much less as it wasn't at all practical for moving our kids and their stuff around. About 5 years ago I decided to give the car a total overhaul and to add some mods. The most significant initial changes were installation of a JDM engine, JDM transmission, and Borla exhaust. In 2012 I had a minor front end impact (airbag did not deploy) and decided that this was the perfect opportunity to do the front end 1999 conversion and to change the headlamps. But much more work was done over these years, at detailed below. All of the work was commissioned to a local mechanic who was very knowledgable about this particular vehicle. Unfortunately he has now moved away and it's time (reluctantly) to let it go as I don't have the skills or time to work on it myself. The car starts with no problem and run fine. This car looks great and sounds great - a real head-turner. The high AutoCheck score speaks for itself. In just a few months this can be registered as a historic car (at least here in Ohio) saving on the cost of annual registration !!

Despite 221, 000 miles on the odometer, the engine and transmission are very recent replacements (within the last 30, 000 miles). You are getting a highly updated and well-maintained vehicle with many desirable mods that can be kept as is or used to equip other vehicles in the 3000GT or Dodge Stealth line-up. Overall condition is good. The interior presents nicely.
These cars are notorious for issues so here are the current issues of which I am aware:
Brake lights not working (they were working until last week... go figure.. fuse or relay perhaps)Fog lamps not working (loose wire I think)SRS light stays on (very common problem with these cars; may reset if battery is disconnected)The hood is not flush with the fenders (very frustrating) and the hood pins don't turn easily (also very frustrating !) (Easy conversion to stock 2nd gen hood if desired)Cosmetics: The seats show predictable wear in the expected places. There are some scratches on the hood (near hood pin) and front lamp housing (passenger side). NOTE about wheels
I have TWO sets of wheels and tires for this vehicle. The last 3 pictures show the extra wheels and tires described below:
Winter wheels and tires - As shown, the car is riding on its winter wheels (specs are listed above). They aren't that great-looking but they serve the purpose and work well on the few occasions this car is driven on icy roads (we own 3 other cars so this is not taken out on the road much in the winter). I have 2 extra Pirelli winter tires - they match the rear set. They are too wide (55) to be installed on the front wheels as they'll rub the strut when turned. In other words, this is a spare set (unused) for the rear.
Summer wheels and tires - During the summer, the car rides on a VERY sweet set of 4 Koenig VIA 690KG wheels equipped with Nitto NT 555 Extreme ZR 235/45 ZR18 95W tires. The last picture shows these wheels and tires installed on the car last summer - the 2 pictures before this one show the wheels off the car.
In the picture showing the stacked tires, the top 4 are the Koenigs/Nittos and the bottom 2 are the winter Pirellis.
Reserve Price: The car is listed with a modest reserve considering the cost of all the mods, updates, upgrades, extras, and a lot of labor. I am not expecting to get my money back but I do need to protect at least some of my investment.

The title is in hand and is free and clear. You must pay a $500 deposit by Paypal within the first 24 hrs after auction closing, with the balance paid by certified check or cash within 3 days of auction closing. If you want to have this car shipped, you must make all arrangements and assume all extra costs yourself. Bear in mind that you cannot fit all of the 6 extra wheels/tires inside the car and you'll need some other way of taking them away !
