Up for auction is a 1929 Nash 420 Standard Six 4 Door Sedan. You will see many Model A's but rarely will you see a Nash.
This Nash is in great shape to restore or drive as is. Mileage at the time of listing 19, 622. This car runs, drives, and stops. The engine does not smoke and has good oil pressure. There is no oil leaks on the floor where the car is parked however I've noticed the carburetor has a slight drip coming from the bottom gasket. The vacuum tube does not leak gas but will need the vacuum sorted out. The transmission shifts perfectly into all gears and the clutch works well. The mechanical brakes work well. The oil pressure gauge, speedometer, ammeter, and temperature gauge work. The fuel gauge is not working but may just need fluid added. The gauges all look brand new. The steering wheel is perfect. The horn works. The Lights work. The body is straight with no dents and minor surface rust as far as I can tell. The paint is still very shiny and has a cool patina look to it. The wooden running boards will need to be replaced. The wooden rims are in great shape and are very solid. The wheels have the original center caps. Tires have tread and hold air, but they have slight cracking due to age. All doors and windows open and close as should. All of the glass is perfect. The top exterior looks good but appears to have some silicone in the corners. It did not leak when I washed the car. The top bows are in excellent shape. The interior needs to be finished. Two door panels have been recovered with a caiman vinyl. The back seat and the front seat bottom have been re-foamed and recovered with the same material. The seats are extremely comfortable. This car has many new parts including a brand new Optima 6 Volt Battery, brand new battery cables, NOS cloth spark plug wires, new spark plugs, NOS distributor cap, rotor, condenser, and points, brand new coil, new fuel filter and fuel cut off switch.
Included with this listing is enough caiman material to finish the interior and piping for around the doors. I have all of the window trim.
I have overly described the car to the best of my knowledge. This is an excellent car that is in really great shape and runs and drives! If you have any questions please feel free to ask on eBay or call me (912) 222-1274.

“Starts right up. Runs great, has good oil pressure. Shifts good. Doesn't smoke. All gauges (oil pressure, speedo, ammeter, temp) work except the fuel gauge. Wooden rims look to be in great shape. All tires hold air. Drives nice, clutch and brakes work well. Horn works. Generator works. Did not have any leaks on the ground after running for a while. Gas tank has no leaks and has been sealed. Recent tune up with original NOS parts. Interior needs to be finished. Comes with materials to finish the interior. Frame is solid. Body appears to have no though rust. Surface rust in some areas. Paint is still shiny but has a patina look. All glass is intact and perfect. The wood on the running boards will need to be replaced. The ignition switch will need to be put back in the column.” |
