1961 Nash or AMC Metropolitan. A low mileage, honest survivor car with original factory invoice, warranty, manual and service papers and documents. Absolutely the real deal and not a sawed off roof or clone. This one has never been clipped, hacked or modified.
The interior is original and in very good condition with one tear in the driver side seat (photo). The original rubber floor mats are still in tact under the aft fitted carpets.
This car is solid and unmolested with no rust on the car underneath, on the frame, in the floors or anywhere else with exception of one small NON-structural area below the front of the driver door which can be easily fixed. I could have this fixed prior to sale but I felt the new owner should decide what to do. This vehicle has never seen an accident with all panels, gaps and seams in the proper locations.
All the chrome and trim is very good and bright, no pitting. The convertible top has some fogging in the rear window but you can still see through it. The exterior paint is fair and presentable. It is believed to have some original paint (white) with touch ups.
This Met runs and drives excellent, is reliable, and fires up readily. All the electrics work including the original radio. The 1500cc is the original motor to the car and has all it's proper pieces in place. This Met also has some historic photo documentation of work performed to the engine, original jack and lug wrench, service manuals and club literature.
