Price: US $1,000.00

Description:

This lovely example of Nash's Custom Sedan, having received a inside and out restoration, and whose body design was inspired the the Italian Design House
Pinin Farina
, was originally sold on June 04, 1955 at Nelson Motors in Monrovia California.
Rare, although a much overused term can best describe the Nash, now offered here for your consideration. Nicely optioned, rust free and restored to a very high driver quality condition, it represents a wonderful investment quality collector car which can be driven with confidence almost anywhere.
Powered by a rebuilt 195.6 Cubic inch LHead six cylinder inline engine, producing just a shade under 100 h/p, and is coupled to a rebuilt GM Hydramatic three speed automatic transmission. The Nash's chrome has been redone, and the trim, stainless, upholstery, and glass are in excellent condition. All the controls and lights function as originally designed with the exception the horn, which utilizes a under dash remote button.
The Nash's interior is in excellent condition, and features the iconic Nash fold-down front seat which can be utilized to take a nap or.?
The Pinin Farina designed chassis was exclusively the only one produced with the 108 wheelbase and preferred tighter turning radius.
Recent servicing included oil replacement with synthetic Valvoline 10/40 with an addition of ZDDP additive, complete chassis lubrication, a complete rebuild of the starter and generator, new carburetor, new battery and voltage regulator, coolant flush (correct green used), new spark plugs, points and condensor, and much more. The tires are new BF Goodrich with 2 1/2 inch whitewalls.
Additionally, the Nash Custom Sedan will come with a box of both new and used extra parts, inclusive of an original radio, two original factory service manuals, and the original Owners Manual, Service Policy and a very rare Nash Rambler fuel economy calculator, to the original owner at time of original purchase in California.
In conclusion, this is a very fun car to own and drive, certainly unique and rare, and garners a phenomenal amount of attention when on the road. When was the last time you saw one.? It is very unique and not many exist. It will be sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. I encourage personal inspection, or by a qualified representative of your choosing prior to auction end. Inspection as a condition of sale, after auction end will not be permitted.*Respectfully, bidders with a feedback score of 10 or less, please contact me prior to bidding, thus avoiding having your bid cancelled.
Given the Nash Custom Sedan is for sale locally, and on other International venues, I reserve the right to end the auction early. Kindly, please do not ask me what the reserve is as it would be unfair to the other interested parties. My reserve has been affordably established referencing NADA Classic car, and Old Cars Report Price Guide, reflecting current market values. My reserve price is set, without question, well below what the restoration of this gorgeous car cost, well to the advantage of the buyer. The refinishing alone, was in excess of $5k as an example.
The pictures herein pretty much exemplify what a nice car this is. I cannot list all its attributes herein for fear of boring and tiring the reader. Please feel free to call with any questions.
Thank you for the interest, and enjoy the pictures. Chris. 413-575-8600 (Please, no Texts)
