1996 Nissan 300zx Twin turbo 2+0 US Model
This car is FAST. It is an automatic, came from the factory as a twin turbo auto. This car is almost completely stock, ready to be modded, or keep as a classic. I am the 3rd owner of this car. It has been garage kept, hardly ever driven in the rain, never driven in the snow. No smokers. New tires in the back (less than 4000 miles), and the ones in the front have some miles on them but wont need changed for a while. Car has a brand new oil change. This car is 20 years old, but can keep up with the looks of modern cars. Car hasn't been driven hard by owners, its been taken care of very well. The car is unmolested, never been raced. Comes with tons of receipts and paperwork. Never been to a drag strip a day in its life. These cars were born with 300Hp stock, and I would say with the aftermarket parts its probably closer to 350Hp. If you look around there are TONS of aftermarket parts for this car. Can be made much faster if desired. Car has 124xxx miles, I drive it a few miles every day, love the car and have never had any problems with it. Just think its time to find a new project. Car is very very fun. Would drive it to California today. Seats are free of tears, nothing is missing. A good buff and it would be a show car. Car is very nice cosmetically other than the scuffed bumper paint and the few dings from inconsiderate jerks at grocery stores.
Car had the long block replaced at 80, 777. The car comes with all the receipts and papers. Theres a whole folder. I'm not sure what they replaced along with the longblock but all those parts have less miles on them. The car also comes with 2 key fobs, which I have never used but the paper on how to use them is in the folder as well. It has the original TTop bags, and the TTop shade covers. This car has been serviced and taken care of very well! True classic.
Car comes with the original sound system in case the owner wanted to revert to the original. I changed it out because the headunit would only power up about half the time. I think it was a faulty ground in the wiring harness so I wired the whole thing new. The new radio does not give power to the original power antenna although it still works, so channels do not come in really clear, which I never cared about because the radio has bluetooth, pandora, USB and AUX.
Car is very cold natured. Does not want to stay running when the weather outside is colder and she has sat for a while. The Nissan Z Tech here in Frankfort said it was because the air intake is so large, it doesn't run well when you first start it up and it hasn't ran. Not a big deal. Can still be driven when it is warming up, just drives slightly sluggish. To get the car running I just sit in it for about 3 minutes before I go in the mornings and pump the gas to make sure the RPM's dont get too low. Once it warms up she handles like a racecar! The car check engine light occasionally comes on because of this, I just leave it and it turns off after a day or two, but could be reset with a OBD2 cable.
I have put a new fuel filter, new break pads, new spark plugs, new coolant temp sensor, and a few other parts on.
