The precious paint on this GT-R was put on only a few vehicles to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the original Skyline GT-R. This paint is the same Silica Brass that was used on the 2001 Skyline GT-R M-Spec. Nissan planned to sell 30 or fewer of the anniversary edition in the United States. The anniversary model sold for about $1, 000 more that the Premium model. Original MSRP is $102, 770. In 2016 the GT-R was introduced to new 20-spoke Rays Engineering aluminum-alloy wheels to in a premium dark finish and replaced the previous 10-spoke design. The 3.8 liter V-6 is a fully hand built engine in a specially clean room by Nissan's best specially trained technicians. The concept is called one man, one engine.
