Up for sale is my wife’s 2010 Nissan Murano LE (the top of the line that year, although a “Platinum edition” with rear entertainment came out in 2011) in Tinted Bronze Metallic over tan leather. This is a very highly optioned Murano, with powered leather seats (both driver and passenger) with memory, 20” five spoke alloy wheels, backup camera, powered liftgate, auto dimming rear-view mirror with compass, powered panoramic sunroof with power shade, integrated garage door opener, steering wheel mounted audio controls, rain sensing wipers, fog lights, dual HID projector automatic headlights with delayed off, heated seats and mirrors, an 11 speaker sound system with Bluetooth and AUX input - including a subwoofer sitting inside the spare tire assembly and more. This car would have had an MSRP of around $38, 000 the day it came off the lot only 50K miles ago.
If you are unfamiliar with this generation of Muranos, I think Car and Driver summed it up well when comparing it to several similar crossovers here In placing the Nissan in first place, they concluded that “The design decisions here favor people over cargo, and the driver is the most favored person of all.” Having driven this particular car on several 500 mile drives (to Ft Lauderdale and back, for example), we agree with the conclusion. It’s a great Crossover with features you’d expect in a higher end European SUV, with the reliability of a Japanese car. Best of all, it drives like a “tall Maxima”, since it shares the engine, CVT, frame, and many parts with Nissan’s flagship sedan. I mentioned the sound system –which is better than any stock system I’ve ever owned. However, my wife had her heart set on a newer Volvo which we picked up this weekend, so here it is for sale.
In addition to the plethora of standard features the Murano LE comes with, we added Weathertech Window deflectors, a stone and bug front deflector, and the all-weather cargo mat. We also had the windows professionally tinted. Lastly, we had Nissan install the genuine roof racks to add more practicality (and for a beefier look) – although I have to admit that we never once got around to using them.
I changed the air filter, oil filter, and oil less than 500 miles ago with full synthetic 5w30. There is plenty of rubber left on the matching tires and good wear left on the brake pads. I tried to take pictures of the minor issues – there are some clearcoat scratches on the bumper from loading and unloading our son’s strollers and there is some curb rash on two of the gorgeous 20” wheels.
No warning lights or mechanical concerns of any kind – independent inspections welcomed. If you are serious and looking for a luxurious family hauler, I implore you to come have a look and a test drive – you won’t be disappointed. Please no low-ballers or dealers helping me sell – I know what it is worth, I’ve researched what others are selling for, and I know what I can get for it at CarMax. There is a white one for sale in Texas that is almost identical for THREE GRAND more than I'm asking. Of course, since I'm a private seller - there is no b.s. document fee that going to jack up the price a couple hundred more dollars.
