1970 Oldsmobile 442 Sports Coupe
This is not your
Father's
Oldsmobile and definitely not one of the cookie cutter redone 442's that are out there, but a
one of a kind 442
that at every car show, both National and local, draws swarms of people who look at it in awe. In the short time that I have shown this car, it has received Best of Show Engine at the Blacktop Nationals in Wichita KS, and numerous 1st place Muscle Car recognitions. I would like to make it perfectly clear that this was a factory numbered 442 and NOT a 442 W-30. Even though this like new 442 has many of the traits that a W-30 had, which was a larger cam, a larger carburetion, aluminum intake manifold and red inner fenders. Our like new 442 also has a larger cam but a more versatile cam being a 268/280, our intake is a cast iron that has been high performance coated in silver, which allows the engine to run cooler and will not stain like an aluminum intake. The carburetor is the factory carburetor but has been completely rebuilt and our 442 also has new red inner fenders. The 455 engine came with this car from the factory but was completely rebuilt from the pan up. The engine was originally blue but since I wanted the whole engine compartment to be red, after the rebuilding of the engine painted it red so that the whole theme of the entire engine compartment would be red, chrome, or polished aluminum, which we felt goes with the color black instead of blue.
You will never be able to build a car of this caliber for what the reserve price is.

paint, this car is NOT a 10 footer-the closer you get the better looking it gets,
no
orange peel or waves, on a scale from 1-10, 1 being a disaster and 10 being absolutely perfect, this cars paint job is a 9.
Engine completely rebuilt that is now a
455
cubic inch with 400 horse power instead of the 375 horse power.
Gear Vendors
gives you optional

forward gears and at 70 mph the rpm is at 2, 100 instead of 3, 000. Drive shaft is only 31 inches long, the third member is a
323 posi tract
and car is completely rewired, all connections sodered. Also, car is equipped with a main power supply/cut-off switch. 10 sub-woofer, air compressor and Megatron battery located in trunk.
Lastly, I have full documentation for everything done to this car. The total miles since completed is 3, 740.
This car has not been smoked in nor eaten in, nor driven in the rain. The car is a real pleasure to drive and you, and everyone else, will never get tired of looking at it! If ever you wanted the ultimate muscle car, this without a doubt would be the one for you. Very seldom do you see very many Oldsmobile 442's at car shows compared to Chevelle's, Camaro's and Chargers, hence this car really stands out due to the fact that there are not that many out there. I do not wish to divulge the reserve price to anyone, so please don't ask. I do not feel it is fair to the other bidders. Willing to consider “reasonable” genuine offers. Only reason this car is being put up for sale is to purchase/trade for a 1957 Oldsmobile, 2dr HT, 88 or Super 88. This car is being advertised locally and the auction may end at any time. Good Luck!
