1987 Oldsmobile 442

Oldsmobile 442 (1987)
for sale

Price: US $7,000.00

Description:

I purchased it April '95 in Jackson, Mississippi from original owner. It already had 107k miles and ran perfect. Still does. Now has 115k miles. No odd noises. No smoke. Drove it back to Chicago and put it in garage. Took it out a few times on sunny days. It never saw snow and only got wet when I washed it. ( I now live in N. Ft. Worth, TX.) T-tops do Not leak. There is No Rust in the body. It looks to be in original condition. I did have the windows professionally tinted, medium . It has most all options including fiber optic light indicators front and back, Power trunk release, pass side remote mirror. , wired for passenger side lighted vanity mirror but it has plain visors. I have the original mirror visor but it has no material on it. I replaced the stereo with a Sony CD player 45w x 4 and new speakers in the rear. I have the original Delco cassette radio w/ eq. . The power ant. goes down but not up so I disco it in the up position. Sorry , I just haven't had the time to get involved with fixing the few things that it needs. The seats and carpet are fantastic. The dash has a crack up at top/ center. The center console cover needs to be repainted. If you look at the inside pic of the T-tops you will see removable panels that were made from the same headliner mat. as in the car. Nice touch by orig owner.
It has the original 307 HO motor. and it can still break the tires loose. ( not that I abuse it, its just nice to know ) I have replaced the Alt. a couple yrs back. Replaced the Battery, gave it a tune-up and changed the oil , 2-11-16 ( Mobil 1 syn. since I've had it ). I'm pretty sure it has the original exhaust although the converter has been replaced. I do have the original converter. I added the chrome ex. tips. Needs valve cover gaskets. I Replaced the air shocks . The tires are like new , about 8k miles on them. I also installed factory marker lights in the front side and rear side markers. Fwiw , I was a certified GM & Honda mechanic.
As for the body, it is Straight . It has a few rock chips in front. There is a small indent in the top of the right fender next to the ant. Don't have a clue what did it ... ? The doors shut perfectly with out slamming them . The w/strip around the bottom of the doors is drying out. As you see in the pics there is no rust . I have more pics I can email if your interested. I also have the GM leather slip covers for the T-tops, and a car cover.
Remember , this is one of 1111 '87 442s with T-tops , and it has all the options. It IS in Very Very Good Condition considering the few fixes it needs. Looks and runs great !
Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up . It will stay in the garage until then.
