...1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible (442 clone) ...
Up for sale is a project car . .it does run and drive but will need some finishing up to be a driver. The paint is new and so is the convertible top. I'm thinking somebody with paint experience should be able to get it looking sharp. Front and back seats are in good shape but the front buckets aren't the original pattern. I have new door panels and rear panels still in their packaging. The carpet looks new. The floor boards and left rear quarter panel have been replaced. I've seen better work and I've seen worse. Being 50 years old and from Washington I can see how the floors would go out. The fenders and doors look really good. The frame looks good also. Bumpers are not show room but fine for a driver. Hood is in good condition. The grille is good too. I do have one of the chrome trim pieces for the front fenders in the trunk. This car also has a floor shifter and console with tachometer that must have come out of the 442 car they robbed parts from. I've got a brand new rear sway bar in the box for this particular car. Also just purchased a complete power steering set up for this car since it was missing when I got it. I will try to have that installed before the new owner picks the car up (no promises though). This is a non a/c car. The power top motor is laying where it is supposed to but it is in rough shape and most likely junk. The lifts are there too but look pretty bad. My guess is that most of that stuff will need to be replaced. We replaced the ignition and now it has new keys ...I didn't find any keys for the doors and the trunk is currently opened with a screw driver . .but you can buy a complete door and trunk lock set pretty cheap . .
This classic car comes with brand new sun visors , new door rubber molding, and new trunk rubber molding. Also have new quarter glass molding that fits between the front and rear glass. The rubber molding on the inside of the top is brand new also.
The trunk is full of original parts that were removed to make room for the 442 items. Also some of the interior parts are in there too.
The motor is a 330 V8 and appears to be original as does the 2 speed transmission. The transmission is really clean and may have been redone. The exhaust is glass packs and not all the way out the rear. The rear differential looks to be stock. Gosh, I could go on all day about this car!! I am moving now and decided to sell off some of my projects so this one has got to go. I'm really going to miss this one because the body style is awesome. Oh, when I bought this car it didn't come with a title but I started the process and will have a title in my name sometime soon. I will sell with a bill of sale that states a title will come with the car. A clean Colorado title. I will send it to the new owner signed by me via registered mail with the USPS.
Okay, serious buyers can call/text me at 719-217-8224 ...I recommend that anyways !! I've just changed this auction to start at $100 dollars . .good luck to all bidders !!
. .. ..forgot to mention that the battery is new and so is the windshield. Also the spark plugs were just changed out as well as the oil and oil filter.
Shipping is the soul responsibility of the buyer !! I will be glad to assist the transport company on the day of pick up.
There are no dents on this car. I did get a chance to check the blower motor and it works. The radio turns on but lots of static.
