This extremely clean example of the car has been owned by our family since new. The car while older with high mileage is in impeccable condition and looks and drives better than most cars half its age. It is a true southern car having been kept in Georgia and Florida more than half it's life before coming to Michigan. Inside and out there is very little wear. The exterior of the car has its original paint but for on the front bumper where the rocks chips have been touched up, to keep it looking nice. There are a few small scratches and light nicks, nothing noticeable. The car takes a nice shine when properly waxed and still looks very new. There is virtually no rust beyond light surface rust on the under carriage. No parts of the body have any major or minor rust issues at all.
The interior of the car is equally nice. Both of the front seats and back bench seat are in good condition. This car was my wife's car and we do not have kids or dogs. We own cats but they don't go for rides. The carpets are all in very good condition and do not have any stains or tears and are not worn at all in the back. The driver seat is the most worn but is by no means worn out, just the one most used, obviously. The front seats are nicely bolstered like a high performance car, without being uncomfortable. The dash and stereo are all as they were new with the exception of one button's cap is missing. The stereo and temperature controls all work as they should. The stock stereo in this car is literally the best I have ever heard. I know people who have installed several thousand dollar systems that don't sound as good. Another nice feature is the full instrument cluster including tachometer for those who like to know what their car is doing. All dummy indicators work including the oil change sensor. If the check engine light were to come on, you would actually want to go see what it was. Dual airbags.
Mechanically the car runs like a Swiss watch. It purrs like a kitten and is still our vehicle of choice for long road trips. I would not hesitate to hop in this car and drive to California and back at all. It would do it comfortably and get good gas mileage all the while. It gets about 38mpg highway and about 28mpg city with a mixed average of about 33 mpg. There are no leaks and the oil is not low when it goes in for oil changes. All the fluids are clean and at the correct levels every time it goes in for routine service. The engine compartment is very clean and the bolts and nuts are not all rusty and threaten to break if you are trying to work on it. The AC compressor has had a slow leak and we usually just charge it up in the spring and get ice cold air the whole summer no problem, however this year when we took it in to charge the ac they told us the compressor clutch had gone bad. Since I have recently bought my wife a new car, I decided it was time to sell this one.
*Included with this car are three sets of tires - The first set are Toyo Proxes 4, high performance summer tires, mounted to premium after market aluminum rims. These tires are almost new, still have their fuzzies on them. Since these tires are unidirectional, we are including a complete spare set to use as spares if you damage one on the vehicle. Toyo changed the tread pattern on the Proxes tires so you will need these. The third set is a set of winter tires on their own set of steel rims. These are used but will still be good for another winter or two. All together this equals about $1800 in tires and rims included free.
In preparation for this sale I have also completely replaced the front brakes, including the calipers and brackets, pads and disks. The rears were done last summer, as well as all four struts.
We have all maintenance records since new and a complete CarFax report for your inspection. This report confirms this is a true southern car, and that it has been exceptionally maintained. We continue to keep insurance on the vehicle and if you are in the area please come by for a test drive and to look the vehicle over. You will see how exceptionally clean this car really is.
