1998 Oldsmobile Aurora

Oldsmobile Aurora (1998)
for sale

Price: US $3,400.00

Description:

This is a 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora. I bought it as new, and I still use it daily. It has always been a California car, so there's no rust-through. It has never left California, except for a few occasional trips to Las Vegas.
The current mileage is approx 120, 302 miles. The mileage may change by small amounts because it is used for local commuting.
This car has the diamond-white tricoat. It also has the Bose Acoustimass premium stereo. All 4 tires are either Z-rated or W-rated, in fantastic condition. The 2 front tires were purchased in September 2015.
The paint's clear coat is dead. It has just now started to bubble, and it is also checked throughout. As you can see, despite the dead clear coat, the diamond white still shines well. There are 3 spots where the paint has started bubbling. Each spot is about the size of a quarter.
The interior needs a good detailing. As I said, this car is used daily; it is not a collector car that I bring out of the vault on the weekends...nor do I toothbrush the crevices every Sunday. The dash needs to be pressed down with some double-stick tape. This is a non-smoking car...no smoke odor. In fact, there is still the odor of leather when you enter the car. The driver seat has the normal leather wrinkles in it caused naturally through use. The car has never been involved in a collision; you can see how straight the panels are.
Maintenance was done on time without fail, for example: oil changes, and always with 100% synthetic oil (Mobil 1), and always with AC-Delco filters. I used AC-Delco/GM parts whenever at all possible...but sometimes, one has no choice but to live with non-GM high-quality parts like Gates belts and hoses.
I do have a small supply of maintenance and replacement parts: air filters, brake pads, oil filters. These parts are included, as I will have no further use for them.
I also have a full set of official GM Oldsmobile shop manuals, purchased from Helm, Inc. No fingerprints.
A phantom, sporadic, occasional CEL shows up and then disappears on its own. I feel no degradation in performance whether it is on or off.
REASON FOR SELLING:
I bought a new car. I don't need 2 cars. I hate to let go of this collectible, legendary car, but regrettably, it is time to do so.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
This car is not for sale to hyper-critical buyers. This car is sold as-is. More photos are available if you want to see them; however, I urge you to personally inspect the car and make your own final decision after inspection. The car is sold:
-with all present and future faults
-as-is
-where-is
-final sale
-no refunds
-no lawsuits
-no buyer's remorse
If you cannot or will not agree to this, then I refuse to sell the car to you.
For your safety and my safety, I will meet you in front of the police station for inspection of the car.
PAYMENT:
Chase bank is one block away from the Los Angeles police station. Please bring your cashier's check and meet me there. After the bank accepts the check, I will turn over the keys and sign the final notice of transfer paperwork.
Note: I have cancelled the insurance on the car. For your protection, before you purchase it, you should inform your insurance company that you are purchasing the car and you want to get valid coverage for it before you drive it home. You must bring an insurance document showing this VIN and a driver license.
As soon as I give you the keys, my financial and legal interest in the car ceases. A notice of transfer will be immediately filed with California Dept of Motor Vehicles recording this change.
I'm not a car salesman, but the vehicle dealership where I bought my new car required these items; so I assume it's prudent to require the statement of sale terms, proof of insurance, and driver license.
NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT:
Say you've inspected the car and you like it, but you cannot make a decision on the spot. I will accept a $500 cashier's check as a lockout fee. The $500 is fully applied to the purchase price if you do purchase the car within 5 days. If you DO NOT purchase the car within 120 hours (5 days), the $500 is lost. The $500 locks out other buyers in favor of you. I might still allow others to inspect the car, but your deposit will be disclosed to them. If they should express firm interest in the car, they must wait until your 120 hours have expired.
Because after 120 hours, your $500 deposit is gone, and so is your right to purchase the car. I'll give you a receipt indicating I have received the $500 deposit and the terms of the deposit.
This is a lengthy description. It's lengthy for clarity, not for confusion.
