Oldsmobile Cutlass (1972)
for sale
Price: US $10,000.00
Price: US $10,000.00
Up for sale my 1972 Numbers matching original Olds/Hurst
Pace Car. No this one did not run at
Indy( I believe only 50 did)2. I have
the original bill of sales as seen by the numerous pictures. This car comes with documentation of which I
am the 6th owner. The mileage looks to
be accurate from all the previous receipts. I have owned the car for two years. I don't have to sell the car but would like to sell it for reasonable
book offer (Hagerty is at $32, 700) for #3 Condition which I would say this car definitely
meets the criteria. I basically drive it
to weekend car show and to work(55 mile round trip) at least once every other
week depending on how much weekend use I get out of it. I enjoy the classic car with the rear seats
for my two young kids who adore the car with its nice rumble from
the exhaust. Over a year ago while I
owned the car I was hit in the driver rear quarter panel as one of the photos
illustrates by a drunk driver. 80% of
the car was repainted, a new quarter panel, trunk, rear bumper, lights, vinyl
top, and all new graphics. I did little
work on it here and there as all classic cars that are drivers require. Oil changes, coolant flushes, body bushings, all new shocks, ect. To list the cons, I'm a stickler for getting everything just right.
Blower motor currently not working, (I just replaced blower
motor to no avail) A/C and heater still work just doesn't blow from the
motor. Still tinkering to get this to
work.
Took out the original radio and put in classic car stereo
uses AM/FM usb and Iphone adapter. Still
have orignal radio but I need my music. Put in 4 speakers. Replace two in
rear and added front kick panel speakers. Still have original kick panels. I must say it does sound amazing.
Any questions I will answer them honestly and to the best of
my knowledge. I hope someone can enjoy
the car as much as I have. I'm a car guy
who enjoys classic cars and want the person to be happy and satisfied. Feel free to have it checked over inspected
whatever. I'm not looking to hide
anything. Any questions I will try and
email you back as soon as I can. I can
best be reached after 4 PM and before 9 PM M - R and weekends pretty much
anytime. 713-299-9258 Blake
The 1972 edition of the Hurst/Olds had some of the lowest
production numbers of any produced with a total of 629 made; 130 Convertibles, 220 hardtop with sunroof, and 279 hardtop cars. The only color available was
Cameo White with reflective 3M gold stripes that were stickers, not paint. All
of the cars had the W-25 Ram Air Hood and gold SS III Rally Wheels with a
chrome bolt-on center cap and chrome beauty ring. The tires were Goodyear
Polysteel Radials. The standard Hurst/Olds engine was a 455 cubic-inch Rocket
V8 rated at 270 net horsepower. Optional at extra cost was the W-30 option with
the L77 455, a blueprinted engine rated at 300 net horsepower. Both engines
were mated to a Turbo Hydra-matic 400 transmission with console-mounted Hurst
Dual-Gate shifter. All of the 1972 Hurst/Olds had the black Strato bucket
interior with a center console. Special Hurst/Olds Pace Car badging adourned
the glove box door and all 1972 Hurst/Olds' were identified with a W-45 Code on
the cowl tag.
