This is a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais, automatic transmission, with a 2.5L engine. The vehicle has 110, 560 miles on it. The body is straight and solid, with only minor scratches and paint fading, to be expected of a car this age. There is a small dent in the top edge of the trunk. The interior is in good condition, with no rips or tears in the upholstery. The original cloth covering that covered the interior ceiling was removed due to aging and falling apart. The engine starts right up and runs great. However, there are leaks in the cooling system, one from the heater core hose, and the other one I have been unable to track down due to lack of time, but appears to be coming either from the coolant reservoir, or the water pump. The cooling system problems would have to be addressed to get the car on the road, but the engine, drivetrain, and transmission are all strong. The cylinder head was removed, magnafluxed, put in new valve guides, and checked for flatness less than 10, 000 miles ago. Also checked for ridge on the cylinder walls at the time, and there was none. The radiator, thermostat and muffler were also just replaced. The only other issues with the vehicle, are the heater isn't putting out heat, and the a/c isn't putting out cold. Also, the rear power windows work properly, but the front driver and passenger power windows are not working. The vehicle has a clear California title, with registration paid through July, 2015. Last time it was smogged 2 years ago, it passed with no problem, and check engine light is off. This could be a great, inexpensive vehicle for someone for around town, for someone who could take the time to fix the few problems it has.
