The only difference is, it was a little old man. He was my Grandfather. I was 9 years old when this car came home. My Uncle and Grandfather bought the same cars in 1974. The only difference was Grandpa's had a tilt wheel.
This car has 84, xxx miles on it. When he died in 1985 the car had 22, 000 miles on it. He willed it to me. I drove Grandma to the store and pharmacy until she passed. As I moved from state to state this car followed me until finally I signed over the title to my Uncle about 10 years ago.
He is now ready to sell it. I can't keep it either. I want this car to go to a true Oldsmobile enthusiast that will restore and keep it original as possible. It does not have the original radio sorry to say. The car was painted back in 1985 when I got it due to fading. Now I see rust bubbles starting to come by the top and fenders. The only interior issue is the pass seat. Look at the pics. If you want more, let me know and I will take them.
The car runs very well. It has been stored inside and driven occasionally to keep everything moving. You can see it has new hoses on it. It has a car cover for it also.
The paint is shiny still. The top does not have any rips in it. However, it has some rust bubbles under it on one side. The glass is all good. It sounds like one speaker is bad in passenger front. It has an Alpine stereo.
