Price: US $8,500.00
For Sale is a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme; 350 Rocket 4-BL, Automatic, A/C Car that is in unbelievable original condition. It is all numbers matching! The Engine, Heads, Transmission, Carburetor, Rear End, Etc. are all Original. Even Still has all 4 factory T-3 Headlights! The only thing changed was the points distributor was upgraded to an HEI by the previous owner. I've had several Oldsmobile's in my collection over the years and this is by far the cleanest and most original I've had. The car has many rare options such as factory 442 Rallye Steering Wheel, Dual Sport Mirrors, Factory Under Dash 8-Track Player (Works Great!), AM/FM Factory Wonder Bar Radio (Also Works Great), Factory Hood Lock Under Dash, Power Disc Front Brakes, and Factory SS1 Wheels. The Cutlass has new BF Goodrich Radial T/A Tires (Less than 1, 000 miles on them) . All Original Sheet metal (Floors, Trunk, Quarters, Doors, Fenders etc. The Cutlass Spent it's life in North Carolina all the way up until the mid 90's and was only used as a weekend cruiser to the local car shows since, rarely even seeing rain. The body is extremely solid with no signs of any body work other than a small amount on the lower front fenders. The right one is the worst (see last picture above), but would be a small repair to fix. The car was originally Silver Exterior with a Black Interior. It was completely painted Black in 1979 with Lacquer Paint and due to being a 35+ year old paint job, it is showing some cracking and peeling. The Deck Lid area is showing the most (see pictures), but it is visible in other areas as well. I was going to just repaint the deck lid and hood. Looks good as is though and still draws a crowd at the local cruise in's. The interior is in Excellent Condition! No cracks or tears in the seats or dash. Headliner, Carpet, & Door Panels are Beautiful. The Cutlass Runs and Drives Very Well! I am always Honest in my descriptions and want you to be 100% Satisfied... The Car could use the following: Rubber weather seals could use replaced due to being original and dry rotting, valve covers sometimes leak a little after it is stored for a long period of time but seal up after driving a bit. The Clock will start and stop working periodically, Gas gauge just quit working, but I am including another gauge from a 71 Cutlass. I had the carburetor professionally rebuilt, but I believe the fuel pump is getting weak. Once in a while at idle it will stall due to lack of fuel, I give it a couple of pumps on the gas pedal and she fires right back up. I found a rebuilt era correct fuel pump that is also included. The A/C worked fine over the summer, but wasn't that cold towards the end.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you want additional pictures of anything. The Title is Clear and in my name.
I'm not 100% sure on the mileage. The cars condition reflects 20k miles and the odometer works fine and reads 20k, but title reads non actual. Previous owner told me that it is the actual miles, but when he had the title made in the mid 90's they assumed due to the age of the car it was over 100k miles and since the odometer doesn't go over 100k the title bureau put non-actual.
Buyer is responsible for pickup and shipping. I reserve the right to end the auction early if sold locally.
