1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Oldsmobile Cutlass (1976)
for sale

Price: US $200.00

Description:

Up for sale is my 76 Cutlass S Northwester edition Y76 package. It is pretty rare, from what I understand, it is one of 200 Northwester regional dealer special option cars. What makes it rare is the sloped rear window, landau top, chrome sport mirrors, rally steering wheel, suspension/handling package, special grill, and rally wheels. This car spent it's entire life in Lewiston Idaho. I purchased it from the second owner's daughter. He was an Oldsmobile dealership mechanic, and bought it at his dealership when it was traded in by the original owner. When he passed away, he left it to his daughter. I believe it to be actual miles, as there were receipts in the glove box of the car when I got it, for various repairs through the life of the car, showing the mileage history over the years. When I got it, it was completely rust free, but had faded paint, and typical dings and scratches of a car of that age. Since I purchased it in 2008, I have re-painted it in it's original color, Firethorn red, base coat clear coat. I installed new carpet and had the drivers seat repaired. Other than that the interior is all original and in excellent condition. No cracks in dash. New factory door edge guards and header panel emblem(these took years to find!) Engine, T350 trans, and positrack rear end have all been professionally rebuilt and are #'s matching. New tires, rims, trim rings(have originals and go with sale), brakes, shocks, heavy duty springs front and rear, dual exhaust w/correct crossmember so it fits nice and tight. New fuel pump, starter, motor mounts, body mounts, vinyl top, window crank handles. New door, roof rail, and trunk rubbers. Engine was bored .030 over, but other than that, pretty much stock rebuild. W-30 exhaust manifolds, and Edelbrock intake and carburetor, but I have the original intake and quadrajet carb, which is rebuilt. Also have the original air cleaner. I installed a Hurst shifter handle, but have the original knob. New air conditioning compressor and it is R-12 and blows ice cold. All controls and lights work perfectly. Floors, trunk, frame are all very solid, no rust other than typical light surface rust on the frame. The undercarriage still has the factory primer. I have retained all the original parts that I changed out and go with the sale of the car. I also have a complete spare nose (fenders, hood, header panel, grills, radiator support, ac condenser, etc.) that goes with the sale as well. Just good insurance to have a spare nose. I have all the receipts, I am afraid to total them up, but I am guessing I have well over 16-17k invested, but reserve is set well below that. Car runs and drives nice and tight, no rattles. Factory am/fm stereo, tinted glass, remote trunk latch, factory GM floor mats with the Olds rocket logo, and the awesome swivel buckets. I have clear, clean Montana title. Email me any questions, thanks for looking.
