Description:
Mostly original 1950 Rocket 88 , 2 door sedan, new complete rebuilt transmission with warrenty. Other mechanical items replaced. All recent work done. Runs and drives good. Needs cosmetics , in & out. Has 1952 4 bbl intake manifold and carburator ( factory olds parts ) this increases the HP by approx 35 to 165-170. This model Olds was the fastest car in the World in 1950. Car comes with boxes of extra parts, full heater assembly, gaskets, filters, other various parts. As some minor rust. Couple of 2x2 spots in the floor pan, exterior bubles on the bottom of the doors and quarter panel. ( all light normal stuff ). Interior has been redone and has a couple of small 3 tears. Headliner needs to be restreched but is in good shape, interior is cream and light grey ( see pics ). Car is vary solid and has duel exhaust and always draws a crowd. Located in So- Cali.

A 1950 Olds rocket 88 took 1ST place and placed 4 cars in the top 7 that finished. The song Rocket 88 hit #1 on the billboard charts in 1951 was made after this car. The song was said to be the first rock and roll song ever made. This was the fastest 5 seater car in the world in 1950. Very cool Car. Some minor rust, needs cosmetics in & out. Missing 1 moulding .” |
