This is a 1962 classic Oldsmobile Ninety Eight four door hardtop. It has only 59, 597 miles. At some point the car has had an engine compartment fire. There is extensive paint damage to the hood and left front fender although no apparent buckling of metal body components. The engine has either been replaced or repainted and the carburetor, wiper motor, generator, power steering pump, master brake cylinder and valve covers have been replaced (the damaged items were in the trunk).
The interior is in excellent condition for a 53 year old car. It has never had air conditioning. In addition to the paint damage mentioned above, the paint on the left rear fender side panel is showing some cracks and there is slight surface rust on both rear quarter panels. All glass is intact. The original owners manual is included. There is an extra wheel cover but 2 wheel covers are missing the mounting clips. The trunk bottom has been pushed upward.
I acquired this unit very recently and trailered it home so I do not have a long history. The car starts up easily but runs with a slight miss. I have too many vehicles so this one is being offered for a quick sale. It will make a beautiful restoration car at a bargain price for someone who is willing to provide some TLC.
My reserve price is a sacrifice at only $5, 500.00. A deposit of $500.00 via PayPal is due within 48 hours after the auction closes. The balance by money order, cashiers check, bank transfer or cash in person is due 8 days after the auction closes. The vehicle is sold as is with no warranty.
