1962 Oldsmobile Other Holiday Hard top

Oldsmobile Other Holiday Hard top (1962)
for sale

Price: US $1.00

Description:

It is a 1962 as stated, it has 71, 642 ORIGINAL miles. 394 ci BB V8. ROTO Hydramatic 3 speed Automatic. (both rare)
It is a Holiday (higher trim than base) and a Hard top. Means NO POST. Interior is freshly re-done. There are 2 small separations in the head liner, but it has no sag, and could be re-stitched by anyone with a needle and tread. Or for $150 you could buy a new one. I have a NOS clock as well, the car is clock delete. but the new one is original to 1962 and has never been mounted in a car.
I put a super low mile transmission in it a year ago. 33, 000 miles on it, (see pictures) from a 62 Olds Starfire it has been freshened up. (see pictures). It could use a small amount of adjustment at the TV rod / kick down (transmission to carb link). The carb needs some adjustment too. I bought a new rebuild kit and float just in case, included. All new transmission cooler lines and stainless flex lines to radiator (transmission cooler is built into the radiator). I also have all the parts to convert this car to a floor shift. Hard to find console floor mount, original floor shifter with neutral safety switch, and below car mounting bracket for all the linkages. Only thing it would need is a hole in the floor, and if you want to add buckets you would need a console, or just add a Hurst boot around the shifter. Has a brand new Interstate battery (warranty included) and a new aluminum racing radiator (original included) and a stainless steel over flow with stainless lines. The wiper / washer does not work, but a nice working (tested) used wiper motor is included, as well.
It has 2 way air ride (front and back) with buttons hidden in ash tray. The system is pretty top line. I had to fabricate all of the brackets, no 'off the shelf' parts here. (2) 2600lbs bags, (2) 2500lbs bags. (2) 444C Viair compressor, chrome (stainless steel) 5 gallon tank with (4) 3/8 inch valves and ALL air lines are 3/8. Pretty fast, but not ridiculous. All switches are individually fused and there is a 0 gauge cable from the battery to the distribution block in the trunk. The system is mounted on a platform in the spare tire well. Also has all new front and rear shocks, installed. The system was designed (by me) to be completely bolt on. It can be removed and converted back to stock by just about anyone. All the original suspension components are included, excluding the shocks as they were bad anyway.
The car has NO RUST. I POR-15ed the entire Floor pan and installed new carpet. No frame rust, no holes, and it still has the original factory under coating from 1962. I did re-spray the under coat, so it is all back to black now under the car. There is rust on the underside of both bumpers, but 2 really nice driver quality bumpers are included with BY IT NOW. It has 4 new brake cylinders and a new master cylinder, new (rebuilt 2bbl carb) new cap, points, condenser, rotors plugs and wires, and the distributor is completely rebuilt. Exhaust just re-done too.
It came out if WI, but as far as I can tell it had never been driven in a Midwest winter.
The tires are NEW as well.
ALL the glass is good. No cracks, at all. The chrome is really nice as well.
I have a clear title in my hand in my name.
The color is a copper/rootbeer/orange metal flake, it is called Firemist Copper from PPG. The top is a matte white. These pictures do not show the color very well. The body color is also a flat/mate like finish, not shinny, so you don't have to spend your weekend washing and waxing it, you can just drive it. It has all black wheels now with chrome bullet lugs and chrome dust covers, I custom made. I also have REAL chrome 'Spider caps that I could include if you sweet talk me. It is not a concourse show winner, but it is not a pile of crap. There are a few small blemishes in the paint.
I have many extra parts, that I will include for the right price, including a 4bbl intake manifold, carb, and air cleaner. I was going through my garage, No kidding I have $1000s of dollars in extra parts I could include. Amongst them are new ball joints top and bottom, new fuel pump (just in case), tie rod ends, new shocks, original hub caps (rare) and Beauty rings. Both front and rear bumpers, in excellent driver condition (not installed) The list goes on and on. Come take a look.
This is A LOT. I feel Like I have been very honest as to what the car is and the imperfection that it has, I am sure I have missed certain things. If you have any further question, Please do not hesitate to email me through the message center. THe car is for slae locally and I do reserver the right to end the auction early, but I do not see that being an issue with my BUY IT NOW price and the reasonable reserve.
I would take trades, if they are local, or if the buyer would provide shipping both ways, for non-local trades. Really looking for 49-54 GM 2 door cars. SBC is a plus, and Hard tops are a BIG plus. But I like a lot of cars. Even would take a project if there is cash included, Or a motorcycle of greater value or less value plus cash. Really want a Softtail Deluxe, or Heritage, or A Forty-Eight, I like metric bikes too, but would likely want some cash on top my way. Please feel free to make any trade offers. I am open and the worse I can do is politely decline.
Regards
Rusty
