This is my 1931 Oldsmobile 4 door sedan, 6 cylinder. My grandfather owned it before I was born in the '70's, but I do not know when he purchased it for sure prior to that. It has been in the family every since and has never been outside for a night. Many features are still original such as the interior, dash instruments, drive train, engine and engine components. It was repainted in the mid-1980's and had all rust repaired/removed from the body. There is light rust inside a few joints on the body but otherwise the exterior remains very solid with no rust showing through or any paint flaking.
The car does run just fine, we drive it multiple times a year and it always starts very well. Other than the paint that was done in the '80's there has been no other restoration done to the car since.
The headlights, add-on Chevrolet cab heater and all dash gauges work. Again to be clear, there has been little to no restoration work done on it for many years, there is wear and tear on the interior from having never been upgraded.

| “The car has basically not been worked on or changed since the body was repaired and painted in the mid 1980's. The car is fully functional but as you would expect the tie rod ends and many other moving/supporting parts are worn and likely would need replaced for any lengthy road time. There is rust damage on the engine water jacket cover but was sealed and does have a few small leaks while running. The water jacket cover would need replaced. The interior does have wear and tear around throughout. The floormats are very aged and cracked. The subfloor is wood, and is solid underneath. There are small dents on the car but no large damage. The rubber roof and the rubber on the running boards are weather checked. I am NOT a car expert, so I would highly recommend viewing the vehicle in person or sending me any questions you may have or specific items you're curious about.” |
