What we have here is a 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 in excellent condition. It has been stored in a dry garage and covered with a tarp. It was parked there about 15 years then sat untouched. My neighbor is going through a divorce and we are helping him to sell his assets.
In case you are not familiar with this awesome and sexy automobile, here is a short description for the model year 1973 (the rest is available on wikipedia):
For 1973, wider and lower split waterfall grilles flanked a new federally mandated 5 mph (8.0 km/h) front bumper on all Delta 88 models and larger one-piece rounded rectangular taillights replaced the four-segmented lights of 1972. Engine offerings included a standard 350 Rocket V8 with two-barrel carburetor (150 net horsepower) or optional 455 Rocket V8 with four-barrel carburetion and 215 hp (160 kW) with single exhaust or 250 hp (186 kW) with dual exhausts. Model offerings were the same as 1972 with the Delta 88 Royale series now including the sole Olds convertible offering following the demise of the intermediate Cutlass Supreme convertible after 1972.
What we know:
It has the larger engine (455 c.u.).
It has factory A/C.
Odometer shows 44xxx. We believe it is the correct mileage.
The interior is extremely clean.
It has absolutely no rust or visible dent/scratches.
It has been stored in a dry climate (Minden, just south of Carlson City in Nevada)
It was running perfectly fine when parked.
We have not tried to start it, we did not even move it.
The title is clean.
It has California blue plates. It was mostly used around Lake Tahoe in the summer.
Summer is coming fast.
Sold with no reserve, as-is, where-is.
What we are not certain:
Paint is in excellent condition. So much so that we could not tell if it is was original or not, but it sure looks like it.
We could not find any over-spray. If it has been repainted, they did a really good job.
The roof canvas was in perfect condition but we did not open the top so current condition is unknown.
I don't think it has dual-exhaust.
