Beautiful survivor! 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire 60, 644 original miles.One family owner from 1963 to 2016.Was used as the family car until 1971 then it was garage kept and only driven on nice days or to car shows.Has the original owners manual and protecto-plate are in the glove box.
Factory 394 High Compression engine and Hydramatic automatic transmission.Runs and shifts very good.Engine is smooth and quiet with no leaks.Car has power steering and brakes.It does have a rusted exhaust tail pipe on drivers side that needs replaced.
The body is in great condition.Has never had any rust.Under side of car is very nice with no rust anywhere.Car still has its original factory Ebony black paint.Has some thin spots and a few other imperfections but still shines great.The chrome and stainless is nice and bright and in excellent condition with very very little pitting anywhere.Rear bumper has a very small ding in it.All windows wind up and down with ease and all the glass is clear with no scratches or chips.Tires are Silvertown bias-plys with the correct width whitewalls.The original deluxe tri-bar hubcaps are very nice.There is also a pair of rear fender skirts.
Original leather interior is in great condition overall.The dash and gauges are nice and clear.All gauges are functioning, including the console mounted tach.AM radio works.Car came from factory with a power antenna that is not working.Carpet very nice.Bottom of drivers seat has a 5 to 6 inch split in it and the headliner on these cars are covered in a foam that is deteriorating.Trunk is fully carpeted and all spare tire and jack items are in their proper place.Also have a extra item such as a 1962 dealers option book and a service manual.Magazine did a small story on Starfire cars a few years back and used this car for pictures, that magazine is included.
