I am now selling with NO RESERVE at a starting price only slightly above the LOW prices above.
And this car is a beauty and I believe above average condition.
This
car truly is a piece of history. It was the first front wheel drive muscle car
of its generation. The vehicle is in good running condition. This car is almost
impossible to find. The vehicle is a true time capsule. Purchased in 1967 from Trevellyan Oldsmobile in San Diego. The original owner loved and drove the car until 1996. So it was driven for 30 years and stored for the last 20 years. I have most receipts from day one and including the original window sticker in excellent condition.
The car has been put in driving condition with new Brakes, Brake master and power boost, new Mondello aluminum Intake ($800.) and Edlebrock 4 barrel carb. fuel pump, Heads were rebuilt by Watson Racing Heads in 1989 (by owner) belts, fluids and 4 new tires on original steel wheels with nice wheel covers, also has a good spare. Jack is missing. AC works as does most everything on the dash. (not clock) small cracks on dash in one spot.
Have original cast intake (has common crack) and Rochester carb.
The interior is beautiful, Black cloth with vinyl trim. Headliner is almost perfect.
Exterior is in very presentable condition. Not sure if the entire car has been repainted, it doesn't appear to be with what the door jams look like. Original jack instructions still on trunk lid and light works. Headlights work and go up and down. I did a little wet sand and compounding and have brought back the paint some.
Not much left to do unless you want to do a full resto. I like it as an original looking driver with some patina. Front bumper should be re-chromed and was done at some point by owner (have receipt) No rust through anywhere except small spots on floor pan below drivers seat and one small hole in trunk shown in pictures (easy repairs).
Maybe rubber bushings that have dried out could also be replaced.
Color is Antique Pewter. Has original dealer issued CA BLACK PLATES. Plates stay with car.
Currently registered and insured in CA.
It just needs the right buyer to finish
this gem or just drive it daily as is.
Fully restored, the vehicle can easily sell for over
$20, 000. Front, rear seat, and door
panels are original and in great condition. The car has 96, 937 miles which is
amazing for its age. Truly an amazing car that is very rare. Only 20, 000 were
put in production 1967 down from over 40, 000 made in 1966. It has a V8 385 hp 425 cubic in.
engine (an absolute monster on the road & a true american muscle car) Won
Motor Trend Car of the year in 1966. The 1967 is the most desirable model year
when they removed the “eyelids” above pop up headlights. This is one owner car
since new and have all repair records and dealer info as well as the original
window sticker showing all options.
The 1967 Toronado is the most collectable of all the
Toronados. With 385 HP and 425 ft.lbs torque this car flies! 10 1/2 to 1
compression, forged rods and crank , high nickel marine block this 425 Super
Rocket is the best Oldsmobile engine ever produced. Has all
the options including tilt/telescopic steering wheel , Wonderbar AM/FM radio, power
windows, power antenna, air conditioning, power trunk, pop up headlights, power
locks and 6 way adjustable power bench seat! This
model was tested at 135 mph when it won car of the year in 1967. In 1966 it
came in 1st at Pikes peak (stock class) and 2nd in 1967! This car is a blast to
drive and turns heads wherever you go.Beautiful car in all original # matching
condition. Great investment as it is sure to go up in value as the 1967 is the
most collectable as only 20, 000 were ever produced.
Jay Leno has one in his collection and is one of his favorite drivers.
I always suggest seeing an auction car if at all possible.
I have tried to explain the condition of the vehicle to the best of my ability and will answer any questions.
