This is an original 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado that I am selling for a friend of mine. We actually sold this car last fall but the buyer didn't realize he also had to pay for it so we are putting it up for sale again with a very low starting bid and no reserve. This car is currently registered and has been used as a good daily driver for the last 3 years during the spring to fall months. It is powered by a good running original 425 cu.in.that has a new Holley 4 bbl carburator and fresh tune up parts. It runs and drives well with 93913 miles. The transmission and brakes are good. It has power steering and power brakes but no a/c. It has four new radial tires but driving the it other day, it feels like the left front tire is out of balance at 60 mph. All of the glass is good and the power windows all work. It has a power bench seat that is in the all the way back position and does not work. When you hit the seat switch you can hear it activate so the issue is probably a bad power motor which I have been told is a common Toronado problem. The aqua blue interior is pretty good with a good back seat, headliner and carpet. The front seat has some tears and dash pad has a crack and some wrinkles from sun heat on the passenger side.The stainless trim and chrome bumpers and good and straight. The chrome on the bumpers is still bright and shiny but the front one has some patina and the rear one has patina and some surface rust bleeding through. It has an older dual exhaust system with glass pack mufflers and tail pipes that exit out back. All of the lights including the headlights operate properly. All of the dash gauges work except the gas gauge which is probably is mismatched sending unit. The original fuel tank went bad and a fuel cell was mounted in the trunk as it's replacement. The body color was originally blue but has had black primer on it for the years. The body looks straight and solid but I'm sure there has been some rust repair in it's past. I see one small rot hole
behind the lower molding on the passenger side fender (see photo). The frame and floors are solid and the trunk floor was replaced a few years ago by a metal fab shop that looks pretty good. The state of Rhode Island is a no title state for old cars so this car is being sold with a current registration and bill of sale only...NO TITLE. Like I said...I am selling this car for a friend of mine and have tried to accurately describe it's condition but it is an old car and is being sold as is.
