Rare Automatic Transmission on this 1972 Opel GT.
Car specifics: 58, 000 miles, has not turned over based on what I see in the paper records, but not sure. 2 previous owners before me based on what the records show, (I will include all records) Vin matches the block. Title included. I’ve owned it for about two years, weekend driver.
Radio turns on but does not pick up channels, speakers may need replaced, clock on dash does not work, Air control works but panel is loose from dash panel. New reproduction metal heater plate included. All other gauges and switches work great. Lights inside dash work, but dome light may need a new bulb. Driver side door handle inside is loose, extra door handle parts included. Seats upholstery needs redone, but is fine as is with the patch work covering tears. Roof upholstery has some patches, but I have a replacement roof upholstery cover and clips from Opel GT Source for replacement. Back upholstery is all very nice, hiding the original spare tire and kit all in great condition. Dash has some cracking but covered nicely with the dash mat. Driver side interior door panel has a tear in the pocket. Headlight pull lever works great, and headlights roll over very nice.
All exterior lights work great but clear rear lenses have cracks and missing some trim around one brake light. Rear end has small dings on each side. Small scratches on rear fenders, but paint is otherwise in great condition and the beautiful glacier blue. I believe there was a little body work done to the front passenger side fender, but no other body issues based on the records. Tires have a lot of life on them. New radiator and battery and fuel filter. May need new vacuum hose eventually. No noticeable rust but battery tray area has some discoloration. (Pictures show water in there because it was just cleaned prior to pictures) Engine runs good, but considering the age, there is some oil, several gasket sets are included for replacement. Vapor lock can happen on hot days after longer rides. Carb could use some fine tuning additional carb parts included. Automatic transmission shifts good. Runs good, but could use some fine tuning and upgrading to make this a really nice ride.
Also included is weather stripping, spark plug set, mounts, fluid spray nozzle, gaskets, lenses, and other parts. If you have any questions, please let me know.
The winning bidder will be responsible for shipping. Car must be paid for in full within 5 days after the auction ends. Must be paid with certified bank check. Car and title will not be released until the check clears.
