Original Solar frame (rear section) and aluminum tail. Remainder of body has been newly fabricated in aluminum by a professional metal craftsman in Pennsylvania. Chassis and other fabrication work performed in New York by my older brother (who passed away last fall), who has restored a couple of other midget racers over the last 35 years. I am listing this car for my sister-in-law, who would like to see it in the hands of someone who appreciates the work that has gone into it so far, and can finish it. All of the parts shown on the car are included: magnesium knockoff wheels, in/out box, Culver City Halibrand quickchange center section, Norden steering gear, front and rear suspension including radius rods (but not shocks), and radiator. Except for the radiator, everything on the car (steering gear, wheels, center section, etc.) is purpose-built racing equipment (as opposed to modified/cut-down passenger car parts).
This car is not set together for the pictures; it is shown at the point to which it was assembled, and was simply rolled outside for the pictures. No engine has ever been installed (one had not been chosen), and none is included. There are no holes to fill, no body panels to alter, or any alterations to undo once a powerplant is chosen. There is no belly pan because much of that could not have been built prior to installing an engine. The radiator has not been installed or altered for the same reason. Most of the heavy lifting in terms of fabrication on this car is already done. No parts are included other than those shown on the car, and the radiator. What you see is exactly what you will get. Reasonable reserve considering the parts included, the amount of work to get the car to this point, and the quality of that work. SOLD AS IS. As this is a fabricated car not designed for use on the road, there is no title or registration. Buyer will receive a bill of sale. Will not ship; buyer must make arrangements to pick up. I can furnish some additional pictures upon request, and will try to answer any questions you may have.
