Description:
33, 390 original authenticated miles. Matching numbers rust-free California car. Known history since new. CCCA full classic. Meticulously serviced and ready for show or tour. Always enthusiast owned and cared for. A rare, honest nickel-era Rumble Seat Roadster. Need nothing. Starts, runs, shifts and stops wonderfully. A pleasure to drive. Very reliable. The Pierce factory aluminum body [over a white ash framework] is burgundy in color with newly painted olive green fenders and gas tank. Very tasteful and quite stunning. This is a rust-free, Bondo-free original car. I bought this car because it hasn't been messed with, ever. The engine has never been out of this car. With only 33, 390 miles, it didn't have to be! The undercarriage has not been detailed, but looks like it has because it's so clean. Straight from the factory. It doesn't even leak any oil on my garage floor. That's a first for me and I've owned 93 classic cars. Just to prove how nice this car has been maintained over the past 90 years; the leather seats and thick canvas convertible top were installed in 1948 and still look remarkable. With the exception of the newly re-nicked radiator shroud, the rest of the car sports is factory nickel plating. Hard to believe when you see this car. Really a time capsule. The Pierce-Arrow dealer installed original running board spotlight is in beautiful condition and still works. This is the first running board spotlight I have ever seen that wasn't obtrusively large. Mechanically this car needs absolutely nothing. The following are brand new: tires and tubes, radiator core, spark plugs, radiator hoses and clamps, fan belt, points, ignition coil, running board rubber, Pierce logo'd rubber floor mat and rubber pedal pads, and newly rebuilt horn[$450]. I did remove the original step plates and waited 9 months for the new exact reproductions to be made. They're gorgeous and correct. The carburetor was replaced with a 'period correct' carburetor for efficiency and speed. The factory carburetor that came with the car goes to the new owner for judging 'correctness'. The car still has it's factory manganese 'purple' headlight lenses. And they are a perfect, flawless matching pair. The vented 'archer' hood ornament has never been re-plated and is in perfect condition. Comes with it's original 1925 California black and yellow license plate.
Chassis: 807437 VIN and Engine: 807508 Professionally hand painted wood spoke wheels are in perfect condition. Golf bag door.
Accessory Pierce dealer installed wing windows. Accessory NOS Pierce-Arrow 1925 Winterfront radiator louvers. Yes it works!
Original NOS owner's manual and wiring diagram. Rumble seat [deck lid area] has a light coat of clear chip guard to protect the paint.
With the exception of the newly repainted hood, the body itself is believed to be the original factory paint in great factory lacquer shine still present.
