Recent barn find survivor just a few months ago 1942 Plymouth Special Deluxe Coupe. This coupe has been in the same family since new was stored in barn here in Maine for 45 years. I have known about this car for over 25 years and one day the lady decided to sell it to me. This is a rare car because of the war only a few thousands were built specially the coupes they stopped production in January of 1942. They drove this car in the barn in 1970 drained the antifreeze out it and once and while they turn the motor over making sure it won't get stuck. When I first saw this car I knew it would run again had it running in about an hour runs sweet and very quite. Car is 100 percent all original all complete nothing missing. Condition very good a solid good running car. Dose have some small rust breaking through on right front and rear of right rocker panel. On back sides of both rocker panels underneath there is some rust holes can be easily fixed not visible until put on a lift and look for them, everything else is solid. At sometime years ago car was repainted in its original color. Paint dose show some flaking in different areas mostly on trunk. Chrome on bumpers have light spotting of rust rest of chrome on car is pretty good. Here is a list of things I did to get this car on the road new rubber brake lines two steel brake lines rebuilt master cylinder new fuel pump cleaned gas tank and four new tires. Have been driving this car and drives nice put little over a hundred miles on it it has over 73k original miles a fun car to drive. When we took this out of barn it was covered in barn dust only thing we did was give it a bath. Upholstery is original is all there top of back of rear seat is thin stuffing is showing. Dash is in nice condition everything works except fuel gauge needs a sending unit in gas tank. When I pulled tires of I notice inside hubcaps there is cardboard insert with instructions how to change a tire printed on it never seen this before. Car is a surviver barn fresh big part of WW2 history. Will answer questions best I can send additional photos on request. Buyer makes arrangements for delivery. I do have videos of first time had engine running and first time was driven in 45 years test run can email these if someone would be interested in seeing them.
